Match Results
After every match in Football Tycoon, you’ll be presented with the Match Results Screen, which gives you key information about how your team performed and what happens next. Understanding how to read and react to these results is essential for improving your strategy, growing your fanbase, and climbing the leagues.
⚽ Where to View Match Results
- At the end of each league or cup match, the results automatically display in a summary pop-up.
- You can also check past match results by visiting the League Table or Fixtures screens.
🏟️ What’s Included in the Match Results Screen?
Each Match Results summary includes:
- Final Score
- Shows the goals scored by your team and your opponent.
- A win, draw, or loss impacts your league position, fan happiness, and future fan growth.
- Points Earned (League Matches Only)
- Win ➜ 3 points
- Draw ➜ 1 point
- Loss ➜ 0 points
Points are added to your League Table standing, which determines promotion or relegation at season’s end.

- Losing decreases it.
- Draws have a mild effect (depending on fan expectations and current form).
You’ll see a +/- happiness score reflecting how fans felt about the result.

- Shows how many fans attended the match.
- Higher attendance leads to more revenue from stadium facilities.
Attendance depends on: - Fan happiness
- Recent performance
- Stadium pricing and upgrades
- Stadium Earnings (Home Games)
- Displays the total revenue earned from stadium facilities (food, drinks, merch, etc.).
- Prices and fan turnout directly impact this income.
- League Table Update
- Your position in the standings updates after every match.
- Shows your points total, goal difference, and how close you are to promotion or relegation.
- Trophy Progress (Cup Matches Only)
- Displays whether you advance to the next round or are eliminated in cup competitions.

📊 How to Analyze Results & Adjust
After each match, consider:
- Was fitness high enough?
- If your team wasn’t at max fitness, focus more on training before the next game.
- Was the coach bonus decaying?
- Hire a new coach if match performance bonuses have worn off.
- Should you use pre-game boosts?
- Plan ahead and use boosts for upcoming key matches.
- Did fans react negatively?
- Lower stadium prices or win more matches to rebuild happiness.
🧠 Reading League Table Implications
After viewing results, check:
- Your league position.
- How many points you need to get promoted or avoid relegation.
- Upcoming fixtures—tough opponents may require extra preparation (training, boosts, etc.).
🔥 Pro Tips for Handling Results
- After a loss:
- Lower stadium prices to boost fan happiness.
- Focus on fitness training to prevent a losing streak.
- After a win:
- Consider raising prices slightly to maximize revenue, while fans are happy.
- Scout for better players if you’re aiming for promotion soon.
- Monitor win streaks: They boost fan growth, so capitalize on momentum with pre-game boosts and coaching changes.
